About this Piece
Typically my photomontage work depicts the best of cities…but after the events of 2020, I felt compelled to use my photomontage to depict how our world is affected...making us feel like everything has gone sideways. When the pandemic hit, the country seemed to tip over in a surreal way creating a fear of sinking.
I started this series out to process what is happening, but also in hope that we can learn from this year and start to create better more supportive systems.

The artwork is available in two formats:
1) Printed on a metal panel (aluminum):
These will be produced as limited editions of 3 sizes (see below). Once the edition has been purchased, no other pieces will be made in this medium at this size.
Here industrial UV-coated inks are printed directly on aluminum, creating a deeper, more translucent layered look which also allows the imagery's detail to pop so well off the surface. With this particular piece, I chose to have the aluminum media to show through because it reflects the steel, cityscape buildings so well.
This piece is ready to hang with a framed, wire-backed hanger. It floats 1/2 inch off the wall. Below see the Left Room photo to see how it looks.

2) Archival Paper Pigment Print:
I use Museum-grade, 100% cotton rag, 250 gsm paper. Printed with an Epson SureColor P5000 and 11 UltraChrome HDX Pigment Inks that ensure visibility of the smallest details, and colors that appear as fresh as day one, even after 100 years. These are open editions.
