A postcard from my new "Urban Messages" series!
These postcards were made from original hand-printed monotypes. Basically, I created these compositions by collaging in my own, edited photographs with fun washes of printer's ink. The photos were taken mostly in Portland, Oregon, but a few are from the Bay Area, and Seattle. So, the imagery and messages are are all Pacific Northwest inspired!
This one is an exception, I saw this writing in a bar bathroom in Denver, CO and it made me laugh...I have complicated feelings about disco as well. I decided to have fun with it and make a composition from it.
